When Specialize Services Make The Difference
Aspiranet provides specialized programs to meet the needs of groups within the communities throughout California. Many county Departments of Social Services have looked to Aspiranet to provide innovative and critical family services, designed specifically to unique populations. Aspiranet's Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC) Program is one such program.
Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC) Program provides a stable alternative to institutional care for severely emotionally disturbed children who can benefit from a family-based treatment program with enriched support services. Intensive foster care service provides effective therapeutic intervention. Para-professional foster parents who are trained to provide care to children with special needs are the primary treatment providers. Each child's treatment is goal directed, outcome specific, and behaviorally oriented.
For children who have successfully completed an intensive residential treatment program, or are at risk of being placed in a residential program, placement in Aspiranet's specialized foster care program combines the desirable features of a long-term foster home placement with intensive counseling, case management, education, and support services needed to create a successful environment for the child’s progress to occur. Aspiranet offers many support and integrating services with the birth and foster families and providing support groups for both.

Aspiranet leverages its years of experience, dedicated foster families and relationships with county and state placing units to design and deliver innovative support programs to individuals and families in need. Established in 1997, Aspiranet's ITFC program is an excellent way to utilize experienced resource parents to improve the lives of children who would be typically institutionalized for most, if not all, of the lives.
